Product Description

The Reporter Strap™ addresses the needs of today's active photographers who use two cameras to cover the diverse photo challenges presented in their work. Now two cameras or a camera/binocular combination can be comfortably worn with only one strap - the Reporter Strap™. This allows you to have better control of your gear while reducing the chance of damaging expensive equipment.

The Reporter Strap™ has quick disconnects on the primary strap so that using different connectors is a snap. The popular OP/TECH USA 3/8" System Connectors™ are standard on the primary strap. The secondary strap attaches to the main strap body with durable plastic clamps similar to the Reporter/Backpack System Connectors™. It features the exclusive OP/TECH USA Uni-Loop System Connectors™ which are compatible with numerous OP/TECH USA neck straps, hand straps, and harnesses. Top quality neoprene reinforced with durable elastic makes the equipment feel like half the weight. The Reporter Strap™ is also great for wildlife photographers carrying both a camera and binoculars. When in the field for long periods of time, OP/TECH USA's weight reduction comfort can make all the difference.

How to Attach a 3/8" Webbing Connector to your Camera (Primary Strap)

  1. 1. Pass the end of the webbing through the connector on the camera.

  2. 2. Pass it back through the first opening on the plastic buckle.

  3. 3. Pass it through the second opening on the plastic buckle.

  4. 4. Pull tight for a secure hold.

How to Attach a Uni Loop™ Connector to your Camera (Secondary Strap)

  1. 1. Thread Uni Loop™ through connection point on the right side of camera.

  2. 2. Thread quick disconnect through opening of Uni Loop™ Connector.

  3. 3. Pull quick disconnect to tighten knot.

Primary Strap

Simply remove the old strap and run the webbing through the retaining lugs or split rings. To adjust, follow the above diagrams.

Secondary Strap

Detach the Uni Loop connectors from the strap at the quick disconnects. Slide the 1/4" webbing through the retaining lug or split ring and create an opening to pass the quick disconnect through the loop. Pull the connector system tight to form a secure hold. Reattach quick disconnect to the strap.

The secondary strap can be unclipped from the primary strap. It can also be attached to a photo vest or the shoulder straps of a backpack to form another style of camera or binocular strap.

Questions & Answers

I could not thread the 'Uni Loop" through the camera connection point on the Secondary Strap like it shows on the picture. Is there a trick to it? My problem is the "Uni Loop" is too thick and stiff to work through the connection point. HELP!! :)

There is a little trick for getting the Uni Loop through really tight connection areas on cameras. Take a piece of thread and loop it through the Uni Loop. Then pull the thread through the connection area on your camera. By pulling on the thread you should be able to pull the Uni Loop through the connection area.
If this doesn't work you can also try using a round metal key ring. Get one small enough that will loop through the connection area of your camera and then attach the Uni Loop to the key ring.
